CAREERLINE TECH CENTER HOSTS OCTOBER 22 OPEN HOUSE EVENT
Holland, MI - Careerline Tech Center (CTC) invites all area 9th, 10th and 11th-grade students, parents and other community members to the annual Open House event on Tuesday, October 22 from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. Thirty programs will be open to tour and teachers will be present to speak with parents and students about the benefits of career/technical education including how to earn college credit, fulfill high school credit requirements, and gain real-world job experience while enrolled.

CAREERLINE TECH CENTER STUDENT WINS SILVER IN NATIONAL DIESEL EQUIPMENT TECHNOLOGY COMPETITION
Holland, MI-Careerline Tech Center Diesel/Heavy Equipment Mechanics program student and recent homeschooled graduate Gavin Grifhorst won the silver medal in the Diesel Equipment Technology competition at the 2024 SkillsUSA National Leadership and Skills Conference on June 24 – 28 in Atlanta, GA.

CAREERLINE TECH STUDENT QUALIFIES FOR NATIONAL COMPETITION
Holland, MI- Gavin Grifhorst, a homeschooled senior in the Diesel/Heavy Equipment Mechanics program at Careerline Tech Center won first place in the SkillsUSA Michigan State Championship Diesel Equipment Technology competition at AIS Construction Equipment in Grand Rapids on April 13.

FOUR CAREERLINE TECH STUDENTS ADVANCE TO STATE COMPETITION
Holland, MI- Four seniors from the Careerline Tech Center Diesel/Heavy Equipment Mechanics program at Careerline Tech Center took the top places in the Regional SkillsUSA Diesel Equipment Technology competition at Lansing Community College on Friday, February 23.

CTC STUDENTS CLEAR ACCESS TO FIRE HYDRANTS AS SNOW DAY CHALLENGE
Holland, MI- Students in the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) program at Careerline Tech Center, a service of Ottawa Area Intermediate School District, cleared snow from a 3’ x 3’ area around fire hydrants to allow easier access by firefighters in the case of an emergency.

INTERACTIVE SUMMER PROGRAMMING OFFERS REAL-WORLD WORK EXPERIENCE TO STUDENTS OF ALL AGES
Holland, MI- Kindergarten through high school students gained real-world work experience through Ottawa Area Intermediate School District’s (OAISD) futurePREP’d IChallengeU programs in June and July. The summer learning courses pair students with mentor teachers and local businesses and organizations for a unique, hands-on learning opportunity.

CAREERLINE TECH STUDENTS PLACE TOP TEN IN NATIONAL NASA COMPETITION
Holland, MI- Careerline Tech Center Pastry Arts and Baking program students Katie Bird and Devon Vanderwall, both seniors at Allendale Public Schools, were selected as one of ten Culinary Challenge finalist teams to present their food to a panel of judges at the Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas April 19 – 21 through the NASA HUNCH program.
