Emergency Medial Services (EMS)

Course Description:
Emergency Medical Services is an introduction to the world of emergency medicine. Students will learn how to provide care and transportation to the sick and injured, typically in a pre-hospital setting.
- Students who meet state-required knowledge, skills and clinical objectives may be eligible to take the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) exam.
- Successful completion of the NREMT exam allows the student to obtain either an Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) or Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) State of Michigan license to practice medicine.
